ONJA update

Sam Lucas is the Founder of ONJA - a social enterprise which trains talented, underprivileged Malagasy/Madagascan youth into world class software developers ready to work.  Sam is one of our 'overseas' Club member's and resides in Madagascar, returning to NZ very infrequently.  Having secured a place in MIQ, he will be released from Isolation in time to present to us at our first Evening meeting for the year.

ONJA (meaning ‘Waves’) started their onsite school in December 2018, with 30 exceptionally talent-rich, opportunity-poor students from an initial pool of 250,000.

Sam will recap ONJA's start-up story, tell us of the students challenges and triumphs; update us on ‘employment’ success and (maybe) share about plans for the next ‘wave’.
