Members may have noticed that Miles was absent from last Thursdays Meeting - well there was good reason as he had also received the following invitation from Auckland City Council.

Dear Miles, The Orakei Local Board would like to celebrate you; one of our incredibly important local volunteers who generously gives your time to help build a valued community. Please join us, along with other local volunteers, and friends on Thursday 1st September to help us acknowledge the work you do and the difference you make to our neighbourhoods. We would also appreciate it if you could send us some images to display on the night, to help us build a presentation to showcase the amazing work done in our area. If you are able to attend, please let us know before 24 August for catering purposes, as we will be providing a light meal along with entertainment.
