Guest Speaker Leanne Jaggs
We welcome PDG Leanne Jaggs to our meeting to give us an overview of Rotary Foundation 101. There are 2 grants within the Foundation – District grants & Global grants. Most of the smaller scale projects, can be funded through the district grants. Our club have been successful in our district grant applications for projects such as Have A Go, Glen Taylor Garden Projects and new media for Glen Taylor School. Global grants normally would attract clubs doing cluster projects together and would be under the following categories – water sanitation, peace conflicts.
Many of our club projects can use Grants from The Rotary Foundation so long as they fall under the Six Areas of Focus so project teams need to seek advise early in the planning stage as to whether they can apply for any of these.
