The award has been around for over 25 years and is one of the prestigious pins awarded to young adults for their contributions to the life and wellbeing of the community.

The award recognizes the quality of our young leaders in critical thinking, planning, effective leadership and service over self for the community. It is an acknowledgement of the many contributions made by young people to their communities, and recognises the positive effect their work can have on other people.

Our District introduced the Award last year and the first recipient was Molly Hillman, a student in her final year at Baradene College. Molly was nominated by Rotary Club of Pohutukawa Coast Passport together with Rotary Club of St Johns.

Please give consideration to nominating a Young Totara Award recipient in our community this year.
